How recommendations are chosen
Tools and products are recommended because they are useful and fit the situation described, not because they pay a commission. Where a tool has real downsides, they are listed. Where a free option is good enough, it is recommended over a paid one. Where nothing has been tested properly yet, the page says so and uses a placeholder instead of a link.
Where affiliate links appear
Mainly in HF Picks inside My Hustle and tool recommendations inside the guides. At launch, HF Picks can use normal direct links while partnerships are still being evaluated. If a recommendation is converted to an affiliate link, the disclosure stays visible and the recommendation criteria do not change.
What this site does not do
Hustle Filter does not accept payment for positive reviews, does not run sponsored content disguised as guides, and does not recommend courses or tools it considers a bad use of your money in order to earn a commission.

No paid placement changes our verdict. If affiliate links are added, they will be disclosed and the same recommendation must still make sense without the commission.
